Adapting to Churchgoer Preferences with e-Giving
Is your church experiencing a decrease in offerings? Churches have continued to see a decline in their overall share of giving for the last 30 years. Giving to religious organizations only rose 2.6% above 2015's rate of inflation, while during the same period Americans gave a record $373.5 billion to charities—that's an average of $1 billion a day. One reason churches may not be enjoying the upswing in our nation's giving climate is that they may not be meeting their members' giving preferences. As technology has changed, consumers have become much more comfortable making purchases and donating online. Today's churchgoers are looking for the same modern and convenient electronic giving options. Though their preferences have changed, the giving model offered at their churches has unfortunately remained largely the same.
