We’re updating how you edit your website pages in Church360° Unite this week.

Edit mode is moving! Instead of toggling into Edit Mode in the Admin bar at the top, you’ll access a panel on the left side of your screen.

To get started, login and click the tab marked Edit Page.

Here’s where you’ll edit basic information, such as page title and URL, and choose the page layout. After you’ve finished editing text, images, etc. on page itself as usual, click the Save button, which is now at the the bottom of this panel.

Within the Edit Mode panel, we’re adding the ability to create a a metadescription for each of your site pages!

This is a great feature for boosting SEO (Search Engine Optimization). When people use Google or another search engine to look for, say, local churches, the meta description is displayed in the SERP (Search Engine Results Page). Your meta description helps that search engine understand the content of your website (meaning the search engine will be more likely to put your site near the top of the search results). It also allows you to determine exactly what text is displayed on the SERP, hopefully making people more likely to click the link and visit your site.
